Double U Art Gallery is a Fort Lauderdale–based contemporary gallery representing a focused roster of Brazilian and international artists working across street art, sculpture, visual poetry, and collectible design. At the center of the program are the artists themselves, including Rosana Ricalde, Tinho, Felipe Barbosa, and other contemporary voices whose practices move between structure, repetition, language, material intelligence, and play.
The gallery’s Brazilian focus is grounded in a broader lineage. References to Cildo Meireles, Abraham Palatnik, and Amilcar de Castro provide depth and context, positioning the work within a continuum of rigorous and influential practices. This is not a surface-level presentation, but a sustained engagement with a cultural framework that continues to evolve.
Alongside this foundation, Double U embraces a more playful and eccentric dimension through collectible objects and design-led works. These pieces bring a sense of energy and accessibility to the space, balancing precision with spontaneity and allowing the program to remain open, lived-in, and visually engaging.
Across its program, the gallery selects work for its clarity, presence, and ability to live with people over time. The result is a collection shaped by conviction rather than excess, connecting artists, collectors, and everyday environments through work that is both considered and alive.
